For those new to the Village...

Helions Bumpstead is a small village of about 440 people in the top northwest corner of Essex, two miles from the county boundaries with Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. We have a Cambridge post code, and a Suffolk postal address, so people sometimes get confused. The village is about 3 miles from Haverhill, 10 from Saffron Walden, and 20 from Cambridge.

There are 170 houses and cottages spread out over four long and winding roads that meet at the crossroads in the village centre, by the village green and close to the church, the pub, and the village hall.

Helions Bumpstead is a very warm, friendly and busy little village, with a lot going on.
